Fall Units and Resources

Hello Fellow Teachers!

I hope you’ve been having fun as you get into the swing of things & get to know your new students! I’ve been adding my favorite 🍂fall units🍂 and activities to my store, so whether you teach AP® LiteratureEnglish 11/Am. Lit., or another high school English class, there’s something new for everyone! 👻

Here’s a Sneak Peek at What’s Hot for Fall:

  • 🐦‍⬛Gothic Lit: Students love reading creepy classics in the lead-up to Halloween! Grab a few Halloween decor items to set the mood (I love the ghost, pumpkin, or Frankenstein’s monster string lights you can find this time of year), & explore stories like “The Yellow Wallpaper,” “The Fall of the House of Usher,” and “The Outsider” with your older students as the days grow shorter & the weather turns cool! This month-long Gothic unit aligns with the 11-12 Common Core RL & W standards!
  • 🍁AP® Literature: At the beginning of the school year, students need scaffolding & handouts to help them master literary elements & lit. terms. My AP® Lit Terms & Analysis Tools packet is aligned with the AP® Lit Course Framework & has something for everyone, no matter what “Big Idea” your students are studying! I’ve also added a year-long guide to teaching AP Lit, which includes everything I do in a year.

If you’ve enjoyed my lessons, activities, and handouts so far, I think you’ll find something you’ll love among the 28 new additions I’ve made in August & September 🎃🍂

Warm regards,
